In October 1992, Lance Wright married Peggy Hudson and their family grew to include 3 boys: James (1999), Nathan (2002) and Andrew (2006).

James, Nathan, Andrew and Lance love to play and have fun. It started as soon as the kids were born and it’s never stopped. Wright Boys love to play anyone’s game, but they especially love to invent their own games. In their home, they knocked down a wall to create a large play area for running, throwing, kicking, shooting and tackling. It’s even outfitted with arena hockey boards!

Regardless of their age, the boys were encouraged to be creative and decide what they wanted to do with balls, toys, sticks or cards. If they invent a game, the next time they play they add new features. If they learn someone else’s game, they add their own twists. When they take a game to the next level, they call it “Ultimate.”

Meet the Wright Boys

LANCE (dad) grew up inventing games by himself or with his friends on the street. As a camp counsellor, he loved creating outdoor adventures with campers. In camps, youth groups, special events, theatres  and churches over many decades, Lance has enjoyed creating fun  and unforgettable experiences. He is currently an MDIV student at Emmuel College. The only games he can consistently win against all Wright Boys are crokinole and billiards. (Note: The photo of Lance was taken long ago when he was once identified as a babe.)

JAMES is the firstborn of the Wright Boy sons. He is a mastermind in any strategy game and the ultimate grinder in sports. He is a big-time hockey fan who builds killer dynasty hockey pool teams. He’s a legendary camp leader and now supports several camps. He currently works for an accounting firm and is working on his CPA. He is a legendary Catan player and one of the favourites in any Wright Boys game. In Ultimate Mafia, he usually wins because of his next level antics and mind-games.

NATHAN came along and gave James someone to play with and manipulate. Always willing to play anything with a good attitude, Nathan has a knack for winning pretty much anything. He is the GOAT in the most Wright Boy’s games and seasons. He’s an elite athlete with ice-hockey and spikeball among his top skills. He currently studies Phys-Ed, Youth Ministry and Coaching at Redeemer University, and is Assistant Captain on their varsity ice hockey team. He’s a veteran camp leader and director of directors. At home, his bedroom was the Wright Boys’ playroom and arena.

ANDREW is the youngest of the Wright Boys and the biggest personality. Through the years, Andrew specialized as an agitator, rogue player or villain. He’s an exceptional public speaker, an accomplished actor and a talented director. He’s a bruising soccer player and ball hockey player and the 2nd best spikeball player in the family. Andrew is currently a student in the Theatre and Drama Studies program at Sheridon College/University of Toronto Mississauga. He’s also the best-dressed Wright Boy.
